Hey, has anyone ever done any overnight trips on their laser?
I'm thinking pack a barrel full of lightweight camping gear, and going for a nice long sail, set up camp stay the night, back on the boat in morning... like a mini cruise. I live in Kingston and would likely be hitting up the 1000...
alright, ive got a new sail and im racing this weekend should i be sailing with it before the regatta or what? also what should i use for ticklers, i have, in the past used the ticklers that you buy from the boat store that are made of a nylon like material, but i have heard that wool ticklers...
Recently i have been having more and more problems with my mainsheet getting tangled and knotted at inconveniant times, praticulairly the windward mark. From a few months after i started racing i began tieing the end of my rooster mainsheet to the hiking strap, as opposed to just a stopper...
Ive recently decided that i am going to cut my carbon fibre tiller extension off a bit, it was about 130cm and ive decided to cut it down to around 120, or about 48" as it keeps getting in the way with this new way that i tack and my new boardbag has a nice spot to hold slightly shorter tiller...
i got this sweet top gun sticker from this army surplus store in idaho on the way back from midwinters, i was thinking id put it on my truck, although i did just get a new laser, and the vanguard sticker is kinda lame
I Just bought a new Laser and i have sailed it twice. Today i took out the plug to find that i had 2-3 liters of water inside. Im just wondering if this is maybe normal, i hope it isn't since my '90 laser is perfectly dry. I know one uy at my club did have this problem tho.
Just last year i bought a new laser radial mk. VI sail with the new batten pockets. These pockets are the type that were "designed" to prevent battens from falling out while racing. before i raced with the mk. II sail with the old style batten pockets, the type that are still on the Full rig...
I own and use a rooster mainsheet and i was looking around at some of the boats at cork and saw someone using swift chord as a mainsheet. it looked like it would work even better than the rooster because it not only runs through the blocks awesome but it is comfortable to grip as well. I have...
Recently while sailing i pulled on some cunningham and the piece of fabric that prevents the mast from going through the sleeve ripped out. Do i need to send it to a sail loft (I live in the praries so it would be a touch inconvienent) or can i just sew it myself.
I am looking to buy a Carbon tiller extension for my laser. I was wondering if anyone had any expertise on which one to buy and which legnth. I did try a rooster one last year and i was very pleased with it, i also tried the Acme one but did not because it was too slippery. currently i am...
i have heard rumors about the radial class getting a new carbon fibre top section to be class legal. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this
