I find you can just pull the kicker/vang on all the way, take out all the slack and that holds it on just fine, also stops it getting tangled for next time.
I dont think the rules allow anything sort of extra line otherwise it could be used for holding the boom out downwind etc like on a solo
Ok, ok i left it too late, UK nationals tomorrow and i haven't put a handle on my new daggerboard.
I fancy the stick style handle but have no idea how to make it . Can anyone help with which knot to use or where to drill the holes?
Any help would be great
Cheers :)
Re: To fold or not to fold. That is the question.
Somebody told me you should let the kicker/vang off if you have to sit with your sails flapping, im not sure the cunnigham/downhaul makes all that much difference to laser sailing, the kicker gives you most control over the leech

Will keep looking....
It is similar to the rooster one, i'll try that way and see what happens.
The play in the rudder seems to be in the gudgeons at the top but the bottom plate and pin on the stock moves up and down too. I'll try flipping it over
thanks
Hi

the carbon tiller only has a metal loop for the rudder downhaul. i guess i could just tie it but this seems a bit clumsy and won't hold the rudder down very well
Also, the...
