The blisters are the the void type, came from the builder, there is one in the white part and another one in the blue. It kinda surpised me that they were there because of it being a new boat. They dont make them like they used to i guess. My old 76 boat is lasting forever and the problems...
Ok, i have an newer laser. A week ago i was cleaning the bottom of it and noticed that it had 2 blisters in the jel coat. Has anyone else had problems like this? The boat i have i got used from vanguared (181226) from an event and it is still under warenty. Hopfully they will repair it...
I was there. It was not one of my better regottas, but it was still fun. I took 3rd in the comador fleet. My boat is 181226, a blue one. You did good there Jeff. Heavy air is not my stuff.

I have a APS bottom cover and a storm top cover. The APS covers are a lot nicer and are made of a thicker material. Im not too happy with the storm cover, just wait untill it sits out in the sun for the summer season then you will see how cheap they are made.
I always used a telfon wax that west marine sells. I always been told that wet sanding the boat is faster, but i really do not want to wet sand my new laser
I have seen it at regottas before. I don't know if it is legal (been my question for a few years). I was always afraid to do it because of the mast bending too far with old spars that I have.

I have an Interlake and it is easy to put it into the water with a hoist. You don't have to deal with the nasty wooden ramps that get slipery when you don't have any shoes on. I think it would be kinda hard to rig up a sling for a laser since it does not have any pick up points. It is bad for...
Strange, I never herd of it being by the trunk. I know of a person who has a boat about the same number as the one you sold. I have to look at it and see if it is the same way.

I have a 1976 boat which is in really good conditoion, but the hull flexes a lot on wavey conditions. I also have a new 2004 vanguard boat which i have not sailed yet.
I have a protest flag, but i only use it if some one doesn't do their circles even after i yell at them. I know that you don't need one, but it is one of the questions that they tend to ask you when you are in a protest, so it is nice to have one just in cace and to prove that you did protest.
I am 16 too. Right now I sail standard rig and i only weigh 130 pounds. I get into the top 8 in the class of 35 boats. Most people in the class weigh about 160. I say you are just right for the standard rig.
If you want to sail a laser, I would recomend the full rig. But lasers are not for everyone, mabe you should see what else there is at your club. I know around your area the interlake is really big. Those boats like a heavy skipper. I learnd my lesson during the interlake nationals.
